Steven M. Silverstein MD, FACS
After completing his internship in internal medicine, Dr. Steven M. Silverstein received his training in ophthalmology at Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston. Dr. Silverstein then completed his subspecialty fellowship in corneal transplantation and external diseases at the Kellogg Eye Center, University of Michigan, where he also served as clinical professor.
A board-certified ophthalmologist and fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Silverstein is active in a number of professional medical organizations, including the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Midwest Cornea Society, the Kansas City Society of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology, the Missouri Medical Society, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
Dr. Silverstein is a leader in medical research and innovative technology. He has published in major medical journals, and lectures extensively around the world.

Timothy M. Stout, MD
Dr. Stout is a board certified, fellowship trained retina specialist with almost twenty years of clinical experience treating diseases of the retina and vitreous. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Medicine, and a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists, the Academy of Ophthalmology, and the Kansas City Society of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology.
Dr. Stout has participated in numerous clinical studies to bring new medical and surgical therapies and treatments to the forefront of Retina care. He is focused and dedicated to advancing and improving the treatment of diseases of the retina, macula, and vitreous through clinical studies and development of new techniques.
His extensive experience and passion for Retina diagnostic, treatment and care are demonstrated in how he cares for patients at Silverstein Eye Centers.

Jeff L. Lookhart, OD
Dr. Lookhart has been practicing optometry in the Kansas City area for over 20 years. He received his medical degree from the University of Missouri St. Louis School of Optometry and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Life Science from Kansas State University, Manhattan, KS. Dr. Lookhart enjoys participating in clinical research.
He and Dr. Silverstein have been colleagues and friends for over two decades and look forward to working together to provide exceptional patient care.

Suzanne Lakamp Adkins, OD FAAO
Suzanne Lakamp Adkins OD, FAAO joined Silverstein Eye Centers in August 2020 to continue her impressive career as an optometrist with specialized experience in pre and post ophthalmic surgical care. Her extensive training and experience include refractive surgery clinical care, comprehensive ophthalmic care, ocular disease management, and acute care.
Dr. Adkins received her Optometry degree from the University of Missouri, St. Louis, College of Optometry and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Missouri.
She is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. She is an active member in professional organizations including the Optometric Cornea, the Cataract and Refractive Society, and many other local and national optometric associations.
Dr. Adkins participates in optometric research. She was a sub-investigator, conducting safety and effectiveness of Wavefront-guided LASIK for the correction of mixed astigmatism as well as safety, efficacy and tolerability of dry eye randomized dose-ranging study.
Dr. Adkins is committed to providing compassionate and exceptional eye care to the families of Odessa and surrounding communities.

Nancy J. Fry, OD – Retired
Dr Fry has been practicing optometry in the area for 39 years. Her practice has been in Odessa, Mo since 1981. She also practiced in Blue Springs, Mo from 1986-2003.
She graduated from Southwest Mo State University (now MSU) in Springfield with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. From there she went on to graduate from Southern California College of Optometry for her Doctor of Optometry degree. She has been a member of the American Optometric Society for over 40 years, and has worked closely with the Lions Club during her career.
Dr Fry has been referring patients to Dr Silverstein for over 26 years. Together, they have provided exceptional eye care to families of Odessa.
